Specialist ministries
Prayer
Through prayer, we long to see the incredible transforming power of God flow through our Armed Forces to advance His kingdom. We are blessed to have so many people from all walks of life join with us to partner in this exciting and growing area. There are many different ways to pray for the members of the Armed Forces.
Men
The AFCU Men’s Ministry is committed to advancing God’s kingdom through the Armed Forces, equipping men to pray, grow, serve, and reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through leadership training, retreats, and mentoring opportunities, the Men’s Ministry connects men in transformational relationships and unites them in Christ to impact our military communities.
Women
YAFCU - Younger AFCU members
YAFCU is a vibrant and active group, offering a space for young adults in their 20s and 30s to find genuine connection, fellowship, and discipleship. They’re a close-knit bunch, staying in touch through a lively WhatsApp community for daily chat and prayer support. In-person, they get stuck into a brilliant yearly Adventure Training weekend in Devon and a challenging walking weekend in the beautiful Lake District. For spiritual growth on the go, they also have dedicated online Bible study and prayer groups. It’s a fantastic community for younger members to find their spiritual home and grow together.
Chaplains
International
Military service can take you to all corners of the globe, and our commitment to you doesn’t end at the UK’s borders, with connections extending to other Military Christians Fellowships wherever they may be. We actively encourage and host gatherings and fellowships overseas, helping to build community and a sense of home far from home. We are also steadfast in our promise to pray for you – faithfully and regularly – knowing that prayer transcends all distance.
