We saw God answer our prayers for us whilst we were in the US regarding my husband’s next job. He was promoted a few months after arriving in Washington DC, which was a great blessing, however it meant that he then had to go through the system of being boarded for different jobs at his next rank. Having recently arrived, we did not relish the prospect of a swift return to the UK, believing that it was God who had directed our path to be there.
Amazingly, there was a job available on this specific board for a tri-Service job at the Pentagon which had recently become available earlier than planned due to the person retiring from the Navy.
My husband put this job down on the list and along with 8 others who were also selected to consider this job we asked God to open this door for him if this was his plan and purpose. God answered these prayers, and my husband was successful on the board at his first opportunity; we can only give the honour to God for him being posted to the Pentagon, enabling us to remain in Washington DC.
