I see from the list that you will be praying for me specifically on Tuesday. I’m safer and much more comfortable than many here in Afghanistan, and although the separation from my family has been hard, I can see the end approaching!
In your prayers, please join with me in thanking God for this operational tour. I resolved to use the 6 months almost as a retreat in that I would make every positive effort to spend more time in prayer and to grow in faith. It’s worked!
Also, being apart from my wife and children has led me to feel more love for them than I thought possible. So, on Tuesday please just say a prayer of thanks on my behalf for the unexpected blessing that this tour has been. Around the same time, I will be thanking God for your work.
